My name is Megan. I am a wife, mother, not-an-artist. I am messy and complicated. I live in a barn in rural Alabama with my husband and our four kids. We have two monster dogs, four official chickens, two medium-wild gamefowl, and a Betta fish named Gilbert.
Periodically I blog about our life and our home at thebarntales.
One of my favorite Bible verses is Psalm 90:17 – “Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!” It found me when I was first chasing the dream of owning my own business. It was like a hug from God, God who has made the path and has set our tools along the path and who has gently guided us back to the path when we stray. I think He doesn’t consider the straying as being off the path, because, as Tozer paraphrases the oft repeated words from Psalms, “undoubtedly He knows our frame and remembers we are dust.”
I’ve been trying to write Bible study guides and create journaling tools. I sell photo prints and project pieces at shop.meganfloyd.com.
